Matias Flores is a proud graduate of Loyola Law School and has been a member of the California Bar since 2011. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts at the University of California Santa Barbara, where he graduated with Honors Distinction in History. He also spent a year studying at the Complutense University in Madrid where he furthered his studies in Spanish and Latin American history.
Prior to attending Law School, Matias used his native fluency in Spanish to become a Court Certified Spanish Interpreter. This is where Matias fell in love with the law.
Matias sits on the Board of Trustees for the Southeast Bar Association. He is a proud resident of the city of Downey where he is active in promoting the local art scene, community development and local politics. He is a former member of the City of Downey’s Planning Commission where he served for 8 years from 2010-2018. Matias was born in Mendoza, Argentina and moved to the United States when he was 11 years old, making Southern California his home since 1990.
Aside from being involved with different local service organizations, Matias has a deep passion for reading, traveling, and soccer. He is a member of Toqueteo Social Futbol Club since 2007.
